Twin explosions near the finish line of the Boston Marathon turned the event into a scene of horror Monday afternoon. 

The blasts killed two, including an 8-year-old boy, injuring more than 100.

In response, Imam Suhaib Webb and the Islamic Society of Boston Cultural Center (ISBCC) have offered to provide extensive aid to any of the Marathon runners or staff, including an emergency shelter.

"We're absolutey horrified by what's happened today in Boston, and as Bostonians we feel a responsibility to serve our community," says Yusuf Vali, the organization's executive director. "We're willing to transform our center into a disaster relief shelter for anyone that needs it."

The ISBCC has organized 40 volunteers to donate blood and provide onsite disaster relief assistance. The center is also offering spiritual counseling.
