Amir Khan entered the night in desperate need of a win to keep his career alive and he did not disappoint.

In a Showtime televised card from Los Angeles, Khan dominated the game, but out-gunned Carlos Molina.

For 10 rounds, Khan dominated Molina with his speed and movement, looking impressive under the tutelage of new trainer Virgil Hunter.

Molina, who had never fought at Junior Welterweight and was never regarded as a big puncher, appeared to be overwhelmed.

Even when he caught Khan with clean punches the light-hitting Molina could not do any damage.

With this victory ,the career of Khan is back on track with Golden Boy Promotions, which is keen to promote the certified ticket-seller and exciting TV fighter.

Possibilities for the next fight for Khan include the Danny Garcia-Zab Judah winner, the Lucas Matthysse-Hank Lundy winner, a Lamont Peterson rematch, Josesito Lopez, or Adrien Broner stepping up in weight to fight him.

I scored the fight at 100-90 - a shutout for Khan at the time of the stoppage.
